About The Tech Reveal
The Tech Reveal publishes independent, hands-on reviews of the software tools small businesses use every day. No fluff, no reprinted press releases. Just what a tool is actually like to use, how it stacks up against the alternatives, and whether it is worth your money.
Who writes it
Matt is the editor of The Tech Reveal. He has spent over a decade building software, including several years as an engineer at Goldman Sachs and IG, and is now the founder and CTO of 2 startups. He started this site to give the software small businesses rely on the honest, hands-on reviews he could never find himself.
He tests every app first-hand and writes every review on this site.
How we test
We use each tool on a real task before writing about it, compare it against the obvious alternatives, and call out the trade-offs plainly. Comparisons and “best of” lists are ranked on merit. Where a placement is sponsored, we label it clearly. A paid listing never changes an honest verdict.
